If I were a developer on Saint’s Row, I’d be both amused and slightly humiliated. 🙂 Buggy Saints Row: The Musical.

On the current project I’m contracted to (sorry, no info, I’m under NDA), I’ve been given the opportunity to train a new designer in the ways of MMO design. It’s a big responsibility, given that I will have control of this person’s future. But, I’ve been thinking more about the nature of design and recording my philosophies, ideas, and methods down to be useful. The nice thing about this arrangement is that I’m contracted, so I own the material I’ll be teaching this new designer. So, you might notice a new category “Design Lessons”. Yep, I’ll be writing more about MMO design and my take on things as I develop the lessons. So, let’s start with the first entry: What is a game designer? 2. Ah, musicals… I love musicals. I’ve wanted to write and sing musicals (a la Disney theme songs) for a long time, but I forgot what they were called. Now that I know, I can actually get to work on a musical. For someone who claims to not be a professional musician, Cabel is quite the singer. I would not have been as serious about my music without the constant barrage of compliments from random, adoring fans. Good luck to Cabel on his newfound career in music! 😉

  3. Ahh that video is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time! Bonus points to the guy for doing his own vocals.

  4. […] FWIW, I play it Em-D-C-B7, like in Rise Up Singing. And I do a whole scat thing on “awaaaaaaaaaaaay.” Other versions stick to straight Am7-E7 alternating, and so on. I think the lesson here is that you can probably play it any way you want. 댓글달기 https://www.raphkoster.com/2007/01/21/the-sunday-poem-the-cat-came-back-and-back-and-back-and-back/#comments When your bugs go WAY public Raph 2007-01-21 05:48 작성 | Game talk If I were a developer on Saint’s Row, I’d be both amused and slightly humiliated.
