WorldCon
I am going to be there, moderating a panel and doing an autograph session. I will post once I know more. 🙂

This? Expensive.
$200 is pretty reasonable, actually. Also, WorldCon is *the* biggest sf&f convention; I’ve only been to one but was pretty overwhelmed.
*shrugs* E3Expo was free. The entire duration of Comic-Con was the price of one day at WorldCon. Everything in L.A. is overpriced… Then there’s GDC which is apparently more expensive than any other conference I’ve seen…
Worldcons are fan endeavors. No corporate sponsorship, no major media behemoths setting up tennis-court-sized booths in the dealer’s room. Hence the high cost of membership. $200 at-the-door is typical (and less than last year’s Worldcon in Glasgow).
I’ll be there. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is finding food in the Anaheim area.
Isn’t there a new Electronic Entertainment category for major awards now?
Sharon, what kinda food will you be looking for?
I’m in the area, and can make some suggestions for some great options, some really close to the con, some 5-10 miles out, covering some of the best locations within easy access.
Autographs??
Wow; you’re really famous.
Actually, my fear is that I will be there at the signing session and nobody will come. 🙂
What are you signing? Paper? Babies? Your book? A glossy 8×10, with you cheesily grinning & your chin on your fist? 🙂
I’m teasing. People will come.
