More evidence that games can help train, at least certain skills anyway.

Moves to get rid of second-hand game sales. Hmm.

The 100 fastest growing tech companies list is out, and it includes one gaming company. If you count Lotto.

It’s really interesting to read the way this article is slanted to the pro-game side with lots of little journalistic touches. 🙂

  2. I’m going to ignore the first and third links because lack of controversy is boring.

As far as second hand game sales go, when I first read the blog I said “Easy. Digital distribution.” Then I saw that it was Sony. This is really crazy. I think everyone can understand WHY sony wants to do this, but it sounds *so* much like item sales in virtual worlds. Lack of ownership just moves the sale to other venues (auction sites, flea markets, etc). Seems like a good opportunity to make a buck for the living room auctioneer.

On to the fourth link. Oh free speech, is it not wonderful? I had heard about this video but was unaware of it’s Battlefield 2 origins. I think the creators fear of visiting the country says a lot about how insane things are getting due to this “war” on terror.

  3. I’m not sure who’s more incompetent, Sony or U.S. Intelligence.

  4. So…

Dutch comics are anti-Arab; Dutch videos are pro-terrorist. Got it. What’s next from the Dutch?

  5. Queen Elizabeth I: What in God’s name do we have in common with the Dutch?
Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester: We have our religion, ma’am!
Queen Elizabeth I: The Dutch have no religion, they have cheese.
