  2. […] More Japanese discussion of A THEORY OF FUNAnd as usual, I can’t read it. Here’s one. And here’s another. This one seems to be pretty positive, but it looks like this other review came out a while ago, and dislikes chapters 9-12 and thinks that “The level which it requires as prerequisite is too high in the beginner” (!) because of […] Diabetes management by NintendoThis strikes close to home, because my daughter has Type I diabetes… At least it’s great companyIt appears I placed #3 on the list of Wildest Statements Made by Industry Veterans, according to IGN. That means I share space with the likes of Hiroshi Yamauchi, Ken Kutaragi, and Trip Hawkins! I woulda thought what I said was at least good for #2, though. I also referenced the increasingly migratory nature of today’s online gamer, moving entire guilds from game to game, often finding new niche titles to occupy […] DeflexionMy copy of Deflexion arrived yerterday, and I managed one game with my daughter before we left for Fry’s to replace a dead case fan in my machine that was causing overheating issues. So, computer is now fixed, which means I can post about the boardgame. Deflexion has a lot in common with those shareware […] Video Game Voters NetworkI think that this is probably long overdue. We as a gaming community cannot rely solely on the industry lobbies to make the case for games to Washington. We need gamers to be making the case. On Trust, Part IIIRead Part I Read Part II Read A side note I ended part II by concluding that the reason that the differing models of trust mattered is because at some point, solutions from one model would be applied to the problem domain best suited for the other model. In other words, bringing in an external authority into a communitarian […] […]

  3. This looks like a great shopping list item for next year’s Child’s Play. I love to see people develop creative ways to use game technology to improve the quality of life for people.
