Lost Garden: Never innovate halfway an interesting post with cool data on what makes more sense: innovation, sequels, or incremental changes.

To cut straight to the chase:

Grimwell Online for a long time featured the highest level of discussion on MMOs in any forums I visited, at any rate. It was never that big, but the discussions were worth it.

Then Grimwell joined the gaming media at GamerGod. Now it looks like he’s back at his old stomping grounds, and the site seems to already be coming back to life.

Gamasutra says that the folks behind Computer Games are going to launch a new mag aimed at MMO gamers. The article claims it’s the first, but of course they forgot Massive Online Gaming, which unfortunately only ever distributed one issue. (The second issue is, however, partially available via the website).

The challenge here, if course, is making a mag that will have enough content for the devotees of any given game, whilst also catering to the folks who are game-hoppers and more fans of the medium than of any one game. I hope they pull it off.

We just returned from seeing this movie.

If it takes off, and becomes hugely popular, it may well sweep the Republican party out of Congress and the presidency.

It also has some stern warnings for any party that uses the same tactics (hello, videogame fearmongers, I’m looking at you).

Alan Moore really didn’t need to take his name off — it was rather faithful to the graphic novel.

I now need to watch some frothy bubbly stupid romantic comedy so I can sleep tonight.

Finally, after using the web trackers and standalone store query apps. It only took about a week of looking hard.

My GamerTag is TheoryPenguin, by the way.

There’s a real dearth of games that my kids can play. 🙁 Me, I mostly want Live Arcade, and of course I’m waiting for Oblivion.
