I met Nolan Bushnell btw
Around New Year’s. And this blog post over here has the story, sort of. I didn’t blog it because, well, it was a party, a social event thing. But since that blog describes the whole thing, there you go. My daughter makes a cameo appearance too (she would be the girl asking about DS wireless).
Alas, I was too busy playing guitar to stop and play Blokus with Nolan Bushnell. In fact, I don’t think he knows that I am in games at all, because all I did while he was there was lead the singalong!
He did, however, say that my playing “The Rainbow Connection” was “good stuff, good stuff.”

Oh, if he doesn’t know, he’ll know. 😉
Funny I didnt know he was a burner…
Don’t worry, Raph… I spent some time prepping Nolan with lots of “Why Raph is great” memes, just in case you guys started talking about game-related stuff. 🙂 I kept finding myself torn between two thoughts; a. We stand on the shoulders of giants like Nolan, and b. my 12-year old is kicking Nolan’s butt at Blokus. No shame in the latter of course, since my office still talks about the last years party where your 8 year old wiped the floor with my IT guys. I guess we’re all eclipsed by younger generation who have the advantage on us by starting where we left off.
Btw; your Rainbow Connection rendition was awesome.
My wife and I spent a good chunk of a lovely dinner at the Ahwahnee trying to identify one tune played on the piano there. It was, of course, “The Rainbow Connection”.
uWink sounds like fun.
So does the Ahwahnee. 🙂
