Anda’s Game

I have tacked up on my wall in my office an autographed copy of “Anda’s Game,” the story by Cory Doctorow that was originally serialized on Salon.


The story is basically a glimpse into a possible future for MMOs that is already mostly here: a future in which real life workers in maquiladores are set to making virtual shirts for virtual item sales, and competitors hire PvP guilds to exterminate them as they sit and macro, in order to preserve their markets.
