Enterprise VWs already slowing?

October 27th, 2008

I had the distinct pleasure of attending the recent Virtual Worlds London show as the guest of Chris, Joey et al at Virtual Worlds Management this week. To say it was a mixed bag would be an understatement. The media, kids and games sessions where alive and vibrant, and absolutely full of excitement The enterprise sessions were lackluster, stale and unconvincing.

No, that’s just Nick Wilson complaining because he was OBE’d by the partnership between Linden Lab and River Runs Red to roll out Immersive Workspaces 2.0, which appears to be a proprietary set up for business use of SL, when Nick thought that he could pwn the space by having a suite of opensource office builds and scripts on top of which consulting would be sold.
