Nice find! I’m still waiting for someone to grab the “Mail Order Monsters” license and give that a proper remake. That could be one hell of an online game that would let you jump in and play quickly and get back out without much trouble.
Ooo, could be a good cell phone game too maybe.
Or the DS. I don’t know why, I just see it being portable. I’m lazy, I should do it.
Weird! I was going to mention Archon alongside M.U.L.E. and Seven Cities of Gold as one of my faves in your other recent nostalgic post. So much fun…
I in fact have all three of those running on my phone. Three of my favorite games of all time.
There was a hobbyist Archon that was in progress that had all the stats for the critters direct from Jon Freeman. It seems to have died off though.
Archon is still one of my all time faves from the Atari 800XL
