"The world the way they thought it was..."
Great anime; Please don’t ruin it, Neo.
Ed should be played by Summer Glau!
Crap. And I just brought the boxset to re-watch it. I hope I don’t remember this “triumphant news”, egad.
I can’t think of much of a worse person to play it, there’s many actors who have different skin colours or entirely different ages to the character I’d rather see then Mr. Blankface NoActor Keanu Reeves.
Ed is doable. They need to pick a woman who has a strong range of facial expressions but few people really have that type of range so the casting director could love this up badly.
I get Keanu’s inner fanboy makes him want to play Spiegel but unless he could reinvent himself to pull off a tour de force he should humbly let a better actor to fill this role.
A live action Ed… yeah, everything else aside, that wouldn’t work.
And if they try to make Faye Spike’s love interest well… actually, I don’t think it would be any worse than anything else they’ve got going on. Still, I would be disappointed.
As long as they keep the music intact, I’ll be able to keep myself from gouging my eardrums out along with my eyes.
“The better question is who has the acting chops to play Ed?”
A live-action version of Ed is making my brain hurt.
