January 31st, 2008

Half dev chat, half stress test. :) It’ll be at the Metaplace website, so watch there for the link to pop up very shortly.

Well at 4:55 the loading 0% webpage is very nice , but I’ll wait till the official 5 to comment :) … oh wait..

Well after 40 minutes and 40 re-trys I’ll have to say there must have been some more steps then just going to the link. Or was it for registered members only?

I just got “unable to find valid world” everytime in the Flash window thingy

I’m sorry! :( We had over 100 people show up, so I think most folks didn’t have issues… would love to figure out why it happened for you. Are you behind a strict firewall or anything?

A few friends of mine had some issues – one was able to get them resolved, and the other one seemed to be having issues with flash directly and not actually Metaplace.

One way or the other, I was able to make it in at least. :-) It was a great chat and a spiffy demonstration of Metaplace on top of that.

I had the same problem Orrey had quit trying after 50 minutes, really wanted to see this, oh well next time.

    bah, missed it :(

I always had trouble with timezones matters. Why you west coast people have to live in the past! :-P

Missed it, but what was the issue with connections? I’m curious.

Came a little late, but was interesting none the less! Good stuff.

Tim, we have no idea, and will have to investigate.

Aaaw man, I missed it :(

Oh well, I am sure I will get a chance another time..
It looks promising so far though! Finally we’re gonna have “The Street” in the RL Metaverse ;)

Well if it helps im on Vista 32 Ultimate with IE7 but no firewall beyond the base Vista one and a Linksys router doing NAT. Pretty regular setup, no weird changes to IE security that I know of

Thanks for the details — we’ll investigate!
