Sandbox: an ACM Video Game Symposium

August 3rd, 2007

Just a reminder, I’ll be at Sandbox: an ACM Video Game Symposium tomorrow. The panel has now gained Warren Spector as an additional panelist. Should be fun! I’ll probably be around much of the afternoon, so if you see me, say hi. :)

The IGDA panel was perhaps the best thing that came out of Sandbox ’07 for me. Thank you so much for the interesting conversation. The Spector/Koster dynamic alone was worth every penny :) I’m wondering, though, if you think the hardcore gamer audience will continue to be in the minority, or if the so-called “casual games” will act as a gateway of sorts into the deeper experiences?
