I hope at least one of them can expand the market significantly, because the market isn't very large at the moment. 300K real users in SL? 30K paying users? Divided by 10 (approximate number of YASLCs I've heard about)? That's 3K paying users per world.

My first thought is, “YASLC” = “Yet another Second Life clone”. part of why Sony’s Home is limited to user content mostly in private spaces is basically to prevent IP from being rampantly abused
</blockquote>
OK, but my first question in reading this article and your post is: What is Atari's take on user generated content? Who owns the IP rights to the original content which I develop? LL set the Virtual World precedent for IP ownership, but I don't believe that precedent is legally binding. If I understand the laws correctly, Sony or Atari could legally take ownership of my content because I have developed on their system?

part of why Sony’s Home is limited to user content mostly in private spaces is basically to prevent IP from being rampantly abused

OK, but my first question in reading this article and your post is: What is Atari’s take on user generated content?
