More on Vietnam on PlayNoEvil

January 3rd, 2007

PlayNoEvil has more on the Vietnamese restrictions that just went into effect. Apparently, game servers players are already moving to offshore servers. We used to have a Vietnamese game operator hanging out on the blog — maybe he will post again and bring us up to date!

A clarification. Players are moving to offshore game sites to circumvent the restrictions (and, in some cases the Vietnamese game servers have been shut down, see a previous article). My speculation was that the logical thing for a game company to do was to set up their operation offshore.
