It was quite the accomplishment. You guys are probably pretty proud of it, and you should be!
Shadowclan grew, thrived and morfed into the multi-national corporation it is today. But we have NEVER recaptured the beautiful flawed gem of playing early UO. Does it make me sad? You're damn right. But, like lost love, I'm frickin' glad I was there. There are no words to describe the experience.
So, uh, thanks Raph.

I was one of the Avian T&T guys from way back. SWG has been responsible for a lot in my life - I hired one of our guild members (after never meeting him in real life) to our consulting company, just based on his skills within the Guild. We also brought Ben Sawyer (who helped with your awesome Theory of Fun book) to our company for a brief attended by 300 members. We're now setting up a Serious Games group. I attribute all of this to the new ideas you exposed me to in SWG. Thanks.

(Joined just pre-WoW) Anyways, I get all jealous when the misty-eyed Nobs blah about the "Good Ole Days".
It's makes me sad, that today's games don't quite allow the same level of free-form RP that was in most games back then. Ralph, people like you helped shape today's RP community. I salute you! Enjoy your shirt!!
*raises drinkies* So,here's to all you old timers. I wish I coulda been there.
